Company

Making the originator replaceable.

CertiLink is building infrastructure so that evidence stays portable, failure stays visible, and recovery stays conditional, reproducible and accountable, even after the systems that created a record are gone.

Founder

Built across industries, which is why the core is shared.

Cole Forrest Likens founded CertiLink and leads Certi-Lock and the SITC research full-time. Before CertiLink, the founder built working application prototypes in the equine, automotive, coffee, reforestation and financial sectors, including InvestiCore, Time Machine, eStateSafe and VetNetUnited.

Building the same trust problems again and again in different industries motivated CertiLink’s central design choice: one invariant protocol core, with industry profiles that extend it without changing what its evidence means.

These prototypes are not represented as paying customers or validated commercial deployments.

What exists today

A foundation, and an honest list of what’s next.

In hand

  • Certi-Lock protocol architecture
  • SITC research theory and component contracts
  • A reproducible Bun/Hono Tier-0 research sandbox · latest logged run 209 passing, 1 TODO, 0 failing
  • Application prototypes used as testbeds: eStateSafe, VetNetUnited, InvestiCore

Phase I questions

  • Cryptographic conformance
  • Trust survivability quorum and transition guarantees
  • Application-independent offline recovery
  • Cross-vertical conformance between two different industries

For Phase I, the founder will lead research and integration, with proposed U.S.-based external support in formal methods, cryptography, independent verification and security testing. Specific outside commitments will be confirmed before a full proposal.

Design commitments

How we intend to earn trust.

  • No lock-in to us

Independent verification and recovery of an exported, compliant package must not depend on continuing to pay CertiLink.

  • Verification isn’t authority

CertiLink evaluates evidence. Applications and authorized parties keep the decisions about access, legal effect and releases.

  • Failure is a result

Research outcomes, including negative ones, are reported as found. Targets are never presented as achieved results.
